To inspire

A few Gandhi quotes to inspire you:

“Keep your thoughts positive because your thoughts become your words.
Keep your words positive because your words become your behavior.
Keep your behavior positive because your behavior becomes your habits.
Keep your habits positive because your habits become your values.
Keep your values positive because your values become your destiny.”

“The only devils in this world are those running around inside our own hearts, and that is where all our battles should be fought.”

Forgive the comment here as a coverall, but I just wanted to say that it’s great this blog is helping you and hopefully others overcome shyness.

I was a painfully shy child (believe it or not) who preferred solitude to any company… but my parents kind of pressed me into a few social situations (most notably going into drama and theatre classes,) and now when I tell people, as an adult, I was shy… those who know me have to suppress a giggle or two as they don’t believe I could ever be that way.

I still have many situations that require a “deep breath” before entering them, but I’ve done public speaking to crowds of over two-hundred people, done a regular radio show for a large radio station in my home town, and have worked in sales and marketing professionally including many demonstrations at trade shows (although I’m a technician now…), and I know that shyness can be overcome if it’s debilitating… but it takes time, patience, and generally, a lot of effort… but it’s worth it.

Good luck with your efforts here!
