Quick Tip 1: Delay Your Shyness.

If you have an event where you will meet a group of people for the first time and you know your shyness will come out try put off feeling shy until later.   

I hear you ask “But how do you just delay the shyness?” Well the answer is, you just do.  I have tried and successfully used this trick several times.   And have found this trick works best when you ‘have to’ meet people or complete a task, that is, when the alternative or not doing it is not a possibility.   So next time you know your shyness will come out,  just delay feeling shy until later.

For example: when starting a new job delay feeling shy till 5pm.  Just decide to put your shyness aside. Greet your new co-workers, find your desk/office and get settled in.  Then once you have left for the day, let your shyness out.  Chances are you will be fine.  The hard part is over and now you can relax.
